Seattle has many talented Photographers in the area of lifestyle Fetish/BDSM Photography, yet many of the big name performers don’t view Seattle as a good place for work. With your extensive background, care to comment on this?

I’d have to agree that Seattle has many talented fetish photographers. But, Seattle in the adult modeling or video industry isn’t considered a “hub” of work like places such as LA, NY and Florida are.  So it could be that many of the talented nationwide models don’t take the time out to travel to this area.

Do you remember what  your first Photo shoot was like?
 LOL… First photo shoot…that was a long time ago….LOL…and yes, I do. I was VERY excited, but VERY nervous. At that time, I would allow skin showing but was very careful not to allow anything like nipples, crotch, etc. to show. The photographers at that time didn’t want full nudes so it worked out for all of us.

Any advice you would like to impart to aspiring Photographers in this genre?
Sure… Don’t push your models to do things that you want in the photos, if it makes them uncomfortable. You HAVE to have trust in this genre just because of the nature of the beast you are creating. The slightest thing could go wrong and the model could be injured, and that will cause a lot of mistrust and models talk. So it could hurt the photographer in the future with other models, not just the one who had the problem.

Tell me about the most recent project you’ve worked on (any release date for this)?
The most recent project I worked on was a video titled “Fuck Me…And My Mom 2” for Stoney Curtis and Lethal Hard-core. The release date on that is just a week or so away.  I also just had “Momma Knows Best 5” released from Redlight District, my first true “cover”. And this is a series that has featured such greats on the cover as Lisa Ann and Nina Hartley, so I was very excited about it, and it seems to be doing exceptional in stores.

As censorship is a frequent issue with Adult Media, what role - or effect - do you feel that politics and politicians have on the general publics sexual attitudes and/or behavior?
Politicians are put into office to work “FOR” the people that elected them. Not small groups that fund them, or to promote their own personal beliefs.  When it comes to the general sexual attitudes, preferences or behaviors of the general public, that is up to parents to install the knowledge into growing minds. And once they reach the age of 18, it is each person’s choice what they view or legally take part in and shouldn’t be dictated by someone who has attained public office and is working towards their own agendas.

Particularly with your BDSM oriented material, are there any misconceptions about this genre/lifestyle that you would like to clarify for the reader (i.e further reading /resources)?
There are a LOT of resources available today. Whether online or in book stores. I don’t want to promote any one particular product here, it wouldn’t be fair to the others. But if you visit, again online or in person retailers that carry this material, there will always be someone with enough knowledge to show you the good ones. Greenery Press puts out quite a few good publications on it.

Apparently you have a big Fan Base in Japan and Europe. Why do you feel that some performers/artists (Mainstream or Alternative) get more recognition overseas then at home?
It’s all a look at that point. Some particular models, actors/actresses etc. have certain looks that people in other countries enjoy more than others. I have more of a Mediterranean look than say what the “stereotypical” American model or actress is portrayed as, I.e. a figure head being, say Marilyn Monroe, etc.  It’s a different look that people in other countries are looking for now.

Are there any models that you are excited about or would like to work with, and what advice would you like to give to anyone interested in Lifestyle/Fetish Modeling?
At this time, most of my direction, to be honest is towards more non fetish material.  I know quite a few male counterparts of mine, who have performed in fetish/bdsm type videos etc. I’d love to be cast across from them if the chance arises.  

To the Models, be careful. Research who you will be working with. Don’t be shy about asking for references. The fetish/bdsm genre of modeling and video is much more dangerous then the mainstream adult modeling and videos. Feel free to ask the photographer or producer if you can bring an escort along with you, even if it’s another girl. You will be letting them do things that, in some instances can be very scary appearing to people. It’s your right to protect yourself and your body.

Any closing thoughts?
I hate this part! My mind always goes blank. LOL. I’d like to thank you Richard for taking the time to do this little interview. I really appreciate it. If it is possible, I would like to take a minute  thank all my fans out there for their amazing support. I, nor any other model could do this without you. You’re the ones who keep us getting work because of your demand for us!
