Where to Find Us

Los Femurs Modern Mexico

The Femurs are a binary composite, derived from the adjudicative stylings of Rob and Colin. Switching between instruments, one on drums and the other on guitar, is their gimmick at live shows. This rock is good for the soul. It’s poppy and ambient with a flavorful catch. This third release of theirs divides the hell spawn from the newbies in our wee Seattle hood. I’ve been listening to 107.7 The End for a good sixteen years now since its inception in 1991. I have been saved from morbid insanity more than once by their djs. A while ago, Rob took the reins of a show called Gabba Gabba Hey. It runs every Saturday from midnight to two and binds the world punk scene into a solid composite.

Their new work features six tracks, with a covert set of the same number, called “bonus songs”. These two seem to have bound the many disparate neighborhood arrays across our urban wilderness into a catchy pop-punk sound. The title indicates our influx of border crossers from the south and reunites them with us as lost family. While the album artwork is Spartan, it serves the purpose of indicating the basic premises of the musical brotherhood this duo has forged. Good drinking tunes for all, this is not bad Americana. They have shows all the time so get to one with a hot mama and rock out!
