Where to Find Us

The Dark Avatar, out of New York, still hasn’t found a label. However, their promo release, a five song set of energized rock poetry, is worthy of any out there. These guys have their shit together. Their sound is stripped down to the basics of what it takes to make it, a glint of steel in the eye, nuanced riffs and melodies, and a polyglotic versimilitude with the many and variegated languages of music. A guy named Michael Ponella fronts this outfit and his translation of lyrics into something you can dance to makes this nascent outfit worth a good listen. They pick up the grit and vigor of the NY scene with strength and transmogrify it into the black ether of space by combining seraphimic attitudes with a chthonic devilery. Check ‘em out!

Evil Twin: Radio Salvation
Flotation Records 2007

Evil Twin is a missing link between the past and the present. They represent the joint between old and new school, sharing the sounds and intentions of such perennial bygones as Guns n Roses, and the more novel sounds of Seattle that are heralding in the post grunge revolution. These guys are straight up, in your face rock with hints of glamour that espouse the more material notions of kick and substance. This latest work is strong, and will bring you to your knees with its direct sex appeal and hasty drug references. There’s even a cover of Jim Carroll’s ‘Those Are People Who Died’. So whether you cavort with Satan or work for the grace of our lord Jesus Christ, there’s gonna be something in here for you to enjoy. Just make sure to do it while under the influence of something. Anything. It will increase your will.

Astrovamps: 'Gods and Monsters'

Although they’re disbanded, the Hollyweird, uber-space fashion of the Astrovamps’ style is absolutely timeless. The sound of their macabre rock ululations will no doubt grace the jukeboxes of interstellar transport ships throughout the perpetual future of infinities furling course. The only thing that matters in life is the love of an exotic angel and a trip to the stars. By listening to this, their last release, your power of impetus will become replenished and your emergence from the latest trauma will guide you to a new sense of virtue. But stay where you are.

Good for everyone, from technopathic homo-superior, to space God, and the in-between, everyone is sure to enjoy this work.
