Felony Flyers Hot Rod Bikes
Putting The Bad Boy Back In Ballard

written by Guitar Doug - photo by RJB

FELONY FLYERS HOT ROD BIKES is located at 5343 Russell Avenue NW in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The new motorcycle shop is diagonally across from The High Life Restaurant, which once housed the Ballard Firehouse rock music venue. Felony Flyers is a must see custom bike shop for any motorcycle enthusiast or anyone wanting to chop or customize their motorcycle.

“The sky is the limit”, says Jeremy Loerch, owner of Felony Flyers. I learned quickly that he wasn’t kidding when he recently gave me a tour of his shop. One current project for example is a pro-street Harley Davidson that will be set for the drag strip when finished. The motorcycle features a Buell front end, a 200 rear tire, a stroked Buell motor capable of 142 horse power, and a nitrous oxide tank. His custom built motorcycles begin around $16, 000 and go up from there. The store also sells motorcycle helmets and apparel.

According to Jeremy, his hourly shop rates are the least expensive in King County. He recommends calling him for exact rates and quotes on custom work.

General repairs such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire sales, balancing and mounting pay the lease on this prime piece of real estate, located behind the new Canal Station condominiums on Leary Way in Ballard, just off Market street. It’s the custom work, metal fabrication and motorcycle building that make it all worthwhile for Jeremy Loerch. He has been doing it for over 16 years and has no plans on stopping anytime soon.

Felony Flyers was originally located in Kent, WA. Jeremy chose this new location in June 2007 to be closer to home. He lives in Wallingford, only minutes away from the shop. When asked how business was going at the Ballard location he said, “Much better than the old location. I am not going anywhere.”

Hours of operation for Felony Flyers Hot Rod Bikes are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am - 6 pm. Felony Flyers also offers pick up of motorcycles needing repair and Jeremy is usually in the shop by 7:30 am.

If you have any questions or need to reach him before the shop opens please call 206-782-1989, or just stop by the shop after 10 am at 5342 Russell Avenue NW Seattle WA 98107
